Blood For Blood really turned it around on their latest MCD, "Serenity." While the record clocks in at only 17 minutes and leaves me drooling for more, Blood For Blood has undergone vast improvement, making their new material painfully good. While the band's previous releases were blanketed by a thick coating of negativity, "Serenity" sees a few rays of hope and positivity shining through. Blood For Blood is still a burly hardcore band, but the addition of heaps of clean singing and pop/punk passages is both entertaining and remarkably catchy. "Serenity" is one of my favorite recent hardcore albums.
